About Nolan
Growing up on his family’s ranch just north of San Antonio, Texas, Nolan Leach is no stranger to art and craft of the cowboy. Nolan first became interested in trick roping after a visit to the San Antonio Stock Show in the late 90s. Encouraged by several top trick ropers, Nolan honed his skills through hours of practice and numerous performances throughout his teenage years.
In 2002 Nolan realized a lifelong dream of adopting a wild mustang, a three year-old gelding that he named Bravo. Patiently winning Bravo’s trust, Nolan forged a relationship that enabled he and his mustang to begin performing together only six months after the horse had been running wild in the Nevada desert. The pair has gone on to wow audiences literally across the globe at rodeos, stage appearances and professional sporting events.
In 2004 Nolan and Bravo flew across the Atlantic to perform as a featured specialty act at the largest horse show in Europe, the Stockholm International Horseshow. With almost half of Sweden watching the televised broadcast Nolan and his mustang brought a bit of Texas excitement to the European event.
Continually pursuing excellence Nolan has studied many different styles of horsemanship from English show jumping to reining, in order to become the best horseman possible and to bring excitement and diversity to his performances.
